If you were represented by Alexandra Lozano and your case is now without an attorney, you are not alone. Many clients throughout California, including in Fresno, Clovis, and the broader Central Valley, are in the same situation and are actively searching for experienced immigration counsel to take over their matters.

A change in attorneys does not mean your immigration case is over. An experienced attorney can review your file, assess the current status of your matter, and move forward on your behalf. The process of transferring your case is straightforward, and you have the right to new representation at any stage of your proceedings.

Important: Immigration deadlines do not pause because your attorney may not be available. If you have a hearing, a response deadline, or a pending application, time may be critical. Contact Star Immigration as soon as possible.

Can Your Case Continue after Alexandra Lozano’s Representation?

If you were a client of Alexandra Lozano, Star Immigration can step in and handle your matter from this point forward. Specifically, we can:

  • Review your current case status and all documents you have
  • Identify any upcoming deadlines or hearings
  • Step in as your new attorney of record
  • Communicate with USCIS, the Immigration Court, or the Board of Immigration Appeals on your behalf
  • Recover your file from your prior attorney

You have the right to your complete file upon request.

How to Transfer Your Case

Transferring your immigration case to a new attorney is a straightforward process. You do not need permission from your prior attorney or from the government to change representation. When you contact our office, we will:

  1. Review your documents and case status. Bring any notices, receipts, court documents, or correspondence you have received. We will assess exactly where your matter stands and identify any upcoming deadlines.
  2. Recover your file. Once you decide to move forward with Star Immigration, we will send a formal request to your prior attorney for your complete case file.
  3. File a substitution of counsel. We will formally enter our appearance on your behalf with USCIS, the Immigration Court, the Board of Immigration Appeals, or any other authority handling your case.
  4. Move your case forward. We handle all filings, communications, hearings, and strategy from that point on.
